Girona is a worldwide reference in gastronomy mainly thanks to the recognition that receives the Celler de Can Roca year after year, although the cuisine of author is not the only one that counts with prominence in the city. The traditional Catalan cuisine, tapas cuisine or world cuisines also have a prominent role in Girona.
